Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of this website and the Cramlio product. Cramlio is an early-stage project built by a student, and these terms are written to be read rather than skimmed past.

What Cramlio is

Cramlio is a study-support tool. You give it class material — pasted notes; PDF, PowerPoint or Word files; or photos, screenshots and scans of your notes — and it builds a Study Pack from it: a Study Guide and study plan, Flashcards, a practice Quiz, your Weak Topics, Retests on what you missed, and Cramlio Helper for questions about your material.

It is not a tutor, a teacher, an authoritative source, or a substitute for your own class materials and instruction.

Your account

You need an account to use Cramlio. Please give a real email address you can access, keep your password to yourself, and let us know if you think someone else has got into your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account.

Your Study Packs and settings are saved to your account. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what's saved and how to delete it.

AI-generated content can be wrong

Cramlio's Study Guides, Flashcards, Quizzes, Retests and Helper replies are written by AI from your material. AI can make mistakes: it can misread a file or a photo, miss something important, get a fact wrong, or explain something in a way your class wouldn't. You're responsible for checking anything important against your own class materials, your textbook or your teacher — especially before a test or anything graded.

Your material is the basis of what Cramlio produces, and points taken from it say which page or slide they came from so you can check them. Sometimes your material mentions a concept without explaining it. Then Cramlio may add a short explanation of its own, drawn from general knowledge rather than from your material, and it labels that explanation as coming from Cramlio so you know which is which.

• Those explanations are not from your teacher. Don't treat them as though they came from your class material.
• They may not match how your class teaches it. An added explanation is a starting point for understanding, not a statement of what your class expects you to say.

The extra notes you add to a pack (like "Teacher said chapters 4–6 matter most") help Cramlio decide what to focus on. Cramlio treats them as your guidance, not as course material, and they don't make its output any more certain.

What Cramlio does not promise

• No guaranteed accuracy. See above. Always check what matters.
• No guaranteed grades or results. Using Cramlio won't guarantee a particular grade, score, or outcome on any test or assignment.
• No prediction of test content. Cramlio can show you what your material emphasizes. It can't know what will actually be on your test.
• No guarantee of availability. This is an early product. It may be slow, unavailable, lose data because of a bug or an outage, change significantly, or stop entirely. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose.

Services Cramlio depends on

Cramlio relies on other companies to run: Supabase for sign-in and saving your Study Packs, Google's Gemini for the AI features, and Vercel for hosting. If one of them has a problem, parts of Cramlio — like saving, opening your packs, or building new study material — may not work until it's fixed. We're not responsible for outages or changes on their side, though we'll do what we reasonably can when something breaks.

Academic honesty — please read this one

Cramlio is built for studying. It is not built for completing graded work, and you agree not to use it that way.

Do not use Cramlio to produce or help produce work that you are not permitted to get help on. That includes take-home exams, graded assignments, essays submitted as your own writing, tests in progress, or anything your school's rules say must be your unaided work.

Your school, college, or teacher sets the rules about AI tools, and those rules vary a lot. It's your responsibility to know them and follow them. If you're unsure whether a tool like Cramlio is allowed for a particular piece of work, ask before you use it.

Your material

You keep ownership of everything you upload or paste. You give us permission to store it in your account and to process it — including sending it to our AI provider — to run Cramlio for you. Nothing more.

Only upload material that's yours or that you have permission to use — like your own notes, or handouts and slides your class gave you for studying. Don't upload material you're not allowed to share, and don't upload other people's personal information or sensitive personal information of your own.

Acceptable use

• Don't use Cramlio for anything illegal.
• Don't try to break, overload, or get unauthorized access to Cramlio, or to anyone else's account or Study Packs.
• Don't use scripts, bots or automated tools to send large volumes of requests, or otherwise use Cramlio in a way that gets in the way of other students using it.
• Don't resell, scrape, or redistribute Cramlio's output as a product of your own.
• Don't use Cramlio to harass anyone or to produce harmful content.

We may limit, suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

Cost

Cramlio is free to use at this stage. If we introduce paid plans later, we'll be clear about the price and what's included before anyone is asked to pay, and we won't start charging you for something you're already using without telling you first.

No warranty, and limitation of liability

Cramlio is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent allowed by law.

To the extent allowed by law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of Cramlio — including academic outcomes, lost time, lost or deleted Study Packs, or relying on anything Cramlio produced. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have, or any liability, that can't legally be limited.

Age

Cramlio is for students in middle school, high school and college. If you're under 13, please only use it with a parent or guardian's permission.

Changes

These terms will change as the product develops. When they change meaningfully we'll update this page and the date at the top.
